Sloppy Firsts
It turns out that Hope moved away after Jess's brother dies of a drug overdose. Now, Jess has to cope with loss of the only friend who understands her too. She writes diary entries and monthly letters to Hope. but it turns out that her and her sister are not on good terms so Jess vents in her letters to Hope. but Jess feels frustrated because she excels in school with ease. I wish i had that problem but I wouldn't complain if I did. Jess feels that she is participating in class only for her college applications. But one day she conveniently hurt her ankle so she replaced her passion of track with journalism, and her editorials make her a spokesperson for the "non-Upper Crusts" at her high school.

I can relate to this very personally because, my cousin just died of a drug overdose and i was very close to her and she was one of my favorite cousins. So i understand what Jess is feeling like after a loved one passes on.

ReplyDeleteI can relate to this because many people in my family have done drugs and or are still doing drugs. Fortunately, I haven't lost any of them to a drug overdose. This book seems intense and deep. Enjoy it!
